You Are Never Too Young For NARS

I was at my 10 year old daughter's piano recital on Saturday and I noticed her cheeks had a cute little sparkle to them.

I asked her what she put on. Imagine my surprise when she said, "Oh, it's NARS," nonchalantly, "the one in the tube." (It was the Illuminator).

Even a 10 year old knows the good stuff!

On My Desk Right Now – NARS Summer Color

Who can resist NARS?

When the summer collection popped onto my desk this week, I quickly picked out my favorites, which are going straight home to my makeup drawer. Francois just gets color.

The Satin Lipstick “Tolède” and the Larger Than Life Lip Gloss “Paris Follies” combined give you that irresistible candy pink look that is perfect with an all white ensemble.

The Pierre Hardy nail color collection is to die for.

And who wants to even touch the blushes (Rotonde and Boys Don't Cry), they are a work of art.

The new SPF 15 Light Optimizing Primer is going to be tested out under my tinted moisturizer tomorrow!

Heavenly Glow

So the trend this spring is bronze-y mixed with ethereal glow-y.

This irresistible product that looks like sun-kissed waves called Spellbound, just arrived on my desk - sorry, launching July.

Spent the day running around NYC and came up with the perfect cheery spring lip:

Le No-Makeup Look

I must admit I am a little obsessed with Paris right now. Barry, the kids and I went for spring break and had an unbelievable time. (More on that to come.)

I was reading this funny book called "Lessons from Madame Chic: 20 Stylish Secrets I Learned While Living in Paris" by Jennifer Scott. Ms. Scott talks about how the French Women have this unbelievable natural look, that they get by using a minimal amount of makeup.

To quote her from the Huffington Post, "It includes a light foundation to even out the skin (either powder or tinted moisturizer), blush, mascara and a neutral lip color."

Today, as I was working in my home office most of the day on M-61 product development and only had to run one errand, I decided to try this look.

First, I used a firming and hydrating moisturizer (top secret m61 development not launched yet).

I then applied Trish McEvoy’s Beauty Booster Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in shade 2 (Oil-Free!).

Then I quickly swiped the NARS Multiple in South Beach across my cheeks and lips.

Voilà, 3 products and le no-makeup look!
