A Day In The Life

Day in the life: Thursday, October 17
6:45 - Wake up with 5th grader, 3rd grader and 1st grader. Sign permission slips. Get them out the door.
7:30 - One hour doing M-61 creative work - testing new products (wait until you see what's coming out early next year!).
8:45 - Go see my dad. He has loves my visits just as much as I do.
10am - Starbucks (double-tall skim no-whip mocha). A little quiet time with The Washington Post (DC heads back to work!), WSJ, New York Times Thursday Styles (fascinating cosmetics story by Alix Strauss today) and NY Post Page Six.
11am - Run into office: reporter waiting on the line.
11:30am - Review holiday buys for NARS, Diptyque, Bobbi Brown, dermalogica. Amazing products, all.
12:30pm - Lunch: salad from Corner Bakery, review carpet samples for office remodel.
1pm - Meet with Armani and YSL teams: it's spring in our office!
2pm: Approve final materials for my 2013 Holiday Planner with Trish McEvoy, the Brigitte.
3:pm - Parent/teacher conference for 3rd grader. She loves science, just like her momma.
4:30pm - Review editorial calendars, write tomorrow's to-do list
5:30pm - Home, then homework (theirs, not mine!)
6pm - Dinner: all of us around the table. My favorite time of day.
8pm - Testing of final production batch of M-61 Hydroboost Moisturizer (making sure it's perfect before it's on our shelves).
9pm - Good night (the best cosmetic of all: a great night's sleep!).

– Marla
